For Editors

If you’re an editor looking for good professional freelance travel writers, stop everything you’re doing and put down your coffee!

Like most travel editors we know, you probably already have a good idea of where your gaps in coverage lie. In that case, you might want to start by browsing “Places” on the right of the front page. This will tell you where we have coverage. If you want a story on India, chances are you’ll want someone who has some experience traveling in (and writing about) India.

Many of the lengthier features that appear on Wandering Savage have appeared in print already. When and where is noted at the bottom. With a little bit of negotiation, you might be able to republish these. Heck, for enough money, the author would probably go back and write a whole new story for you.

If it doesn’t say anything at the bottom, that means the article has never appeared in print. Whoever wrote it, chances are he or she is open to selling it, or perhaps even re-writing an expanded version of it.

If you’re interested in a story, or if you just feel like saying hi, drop a line to scott@[this website’s name] – or to the email at the bottom of the story, if there is one.

If you’re interested in a specific destination, don’t forget to mention whether you’ll be wanting photos as well.

In any case, thanks for dropping by. We do love people with editorial budgets!
